Last week I got myself some new fabric. Eighteen different designs! I couldn't choose...
But I didn't go overboard, I only bought a fat quarter of each. A fat quarter is a quarter yard of fabric not cut lengthwise, from selvage to selvage, but made up by cutting half a yard in two pieces on the fold, so you get rectangular piece.
Now, what to do with those FQs?
Make a quilt?
I saw some great free patterns on the internet from Amy Butler. I could adjust one of them to work with the size of fabric I have.
Pick a project (or several) from the list Sew Mama Sew has put up? Maybe a pin cushion, I could really use one extra.
I could also try to make some kind of frame or back drop for this cardigan my grandmother crocheted for me when I was small. (Those colors go so well together, I can hardly believe it!)
Or I could just sit back and admire my new fabric a bit more....
