Summer is over, or at least the summer vacation is. We had lovely times in Friesland (northern province of the Netherlands) and France. But now it's time to get back into the blogging game. I'm starting with a post on a quilt I finished before the holiday, but forgot a little bit.
Here is the Slanted Diamonds quilt:
The blocks were made by the Comfort Circle of do.Good Stitches following this tutorial on Quilter's Cache.
This is the backing I made from three leftovers. You can see how I quilted diagonal lines to accentuate the slant of the diamonds.
The quilt is for charity, but I'm not sure what charity I will send it to. Any ideas on European charities? Please let me know.
The quilt is 48" by 64", so a bed quilt for an 8 to 12 year old, or a cuddle or couch quilt for any age.
