Hey, it's November! It's fall, or autumn. I heard that Americans are using the word autumn more and more. I learned autumn for herfst (most beautiful Dutch word, I think) when I was at school. Then after highschool I spent a year in Pennsylvania, where it was 'fall' and where fall is a big thing with the many beautiful leaves and the still nice weather, Indian Summer. How different is our fall or autumn! It's wet, windy and cold. No fun to be on your bike, but of course we Dutch people never get of our bikes (not even when there is ice and snow!)
What did I make in October? Bee blocks for Bee Europa, do.Good Stitches, Sew Buzzy and Cocorico.
I joined a new bee, Add-a-border block swap. You start by making a (or more) 6 inches square starter block. You send it to Dustin who then sends you a starter block from someone else and you are free to add-a-border of your own idea, to make it 12 inches square. And so on and so on, to end up with 24 inch medallion blocks. I thought: fun, arty, let's do it, so I made four starters and already received my four blocks to add onto. Stay tuned for what I do with them!

As preparation for what I hope to be working on in November I put together a pile of fabric for a quilt in the Value Added Quiltalong. I think I'm going for Jolene's Jacob's Ladder quilt.

and in black and white
And I hope to be making some Christmas items! I mean I did win that huge pile of Christmas fabric at the Fat Quarterly London retreat, so I should really make something with it.
I'm linking up to Lynne's Fresh Sewing Day and the Small Blog Meet! Hi!!!, if you came from there!!
