I'll show you some of my own recently finished sewing: the blocks I made for his quarter of the 4x5 Bee. I followed this tutorial but enlarged everything so I ended up with 12" finished size blocks. If you want to do this and you can't figure out the measurements, contact me (through the comments) and I'll tell you what I did.
This is the block I made for myself. This quarter my colors are all shades of purple with all shades of gray.
